Hi friends, there is another tool present for you  which is known as "classic start menu". In windows 8, the start menu is not present, so there are many problem comes when we want to explore any installed programs in my computer. As in windows 7 the start menu is very user friendly.

Make windows 8 start menu like this....

Classic Start Menu is a flexible start menu that can mimic the menu behavior of Windows 2000, XP and Windows 7. It has a variety of advanced features:

1.  Choose between “Classic” and “Windows 7” styles
2.   Drag and drop to let you organize your applications
3.   Options to show Favorites, expand Control Panel, etc
4.    Shows recently used documents. The number of documents to         display is customizable.
5.    Does not disable the original start menu in Windows. You can         access it by Shift+Click on the start      button.
6.   Right-click on an item in the menu to delete, rename, sort, or           perform other tasks.
7.  The search box helps you find your programs and files without         getting in the way of your keyboard    shortcuts.
8.   Supports jumplists for easy access to recent documents and              common tasks
